We are delighted to welcome Julian Wells to our growing team.

Based in Leeds, Julian has more than 15 years experience working in the financial services industry, having worked for organisations such as Nationwide, Boston Consulting Group, Merrill Lynch, and HML (part of Skipton Building Society). He will bring a significant amount of strategic marketing expertise to rebuildingsociety, where his initial focus will be on building and developing our affiliates channel in the IFA/adviser market.

In the coming days and weeks, we will be finalising and rolling out a launch strategy for advisers, and we are about to embark on a piece of adviser research into crowdfunding. We see great opportunity for rebuildingsociety to make its mark in this sector and to differentiate ourselves from other crowdfunding brands, by providing a proposition that is specifically shaped for advisers and offers them an attractive remuneration structure.

Julian has spent the majority of his career working in this sector. He has helped several businesses to launch and build intermediary propositions, and in 2008 he launched one of the first social networking sites for financial advisers in the UK. He has a far-reaching contact network around the market and this will be of value both in terms of the adviser channel and to our financial services presence overall.

Julian is already well-known to many of our team via the Yorkshire business community, where he is actively involved with the Institute of Directors. Earlier this year he won one of the individual categories at the Business Insider '42 under 42' awards for Yorkshire.
