Rick Hyland is Business Development Manager. Rick is responsible for identifying new borrowers and nurturing their journey through application, acting as their point of reference. He also runs a theatre school franchise with his wife, so he knows and understands the complexities of running a business.
Philip Pawson is our Operations Director. A trained accountant and barrister with forty years of business experience, Philip truly understands the mechanics of running a small business, which enables him to assess the creditworthiness of businesses applying for finance. He is also a Member of the ICAEW and currently serving on the ICAEW Business Law Committee, so there's nothing he likes better than a neatly presented set of statutory and management accounts.
Kylie reviews the security provided by applicants for its suitability and enforceability, she also manages the loan auction process to help get answers to questions and moderate communication between borrowers, lenders and advisers. Kylie holds a Qualifying Law degree and a first class Business & Law degree from Leeds University. She's another problem solver and has the rare gift of being able to cajole lawyers into acting quickly, making sure your loan gets to your account quickly.
Huw Miller is Finance Controller. Huw undertakes much of the accounting for our business as well as assisting with the preparation of applications for review by the underwriters.
Nick Newton is our Customer Relations Manager. You'll usually find him on the end of the phone keeping people posted, listening to their issues and solving them. He also comes with an authentic Harrogate accent - perfect for customer relations.
