Returning Borrower

This is a returning borrower to rebuildingsociety.com. Mr Arlie came to rebuildingsociety.com in July 2015 to raise finance to refit the pub's kitchen. Having carried out the refurbishment the loan was redeemed early in December 2016. You can view their previous loan profile here .

About Us

We are on the doorstep of two local football teams, Dundee United and Dundee. We have a local clientele and also regular football and visiting football supporters on match days.

The benefit of where we are situated is that we have supporters every weekend as the games are alternated. SKY and BT Sport is showing and we have regular karaoke in the evenings.

Being an independent, we have a wide selections of beer and ales available and we are also open to trying new and modern/trendy drinks. We also welcome students from the local area and they are made to feel welcome and part of our community.

We also regularly have visits from students who have gone home years before but want to pop in to say hello. We have regular golf outings which always end back at The Troll for a presentation and dissection of the day!.

The toilets are out-dated and in need of a total refurbishment rather than just a quick fix. Customers expect high standards and we would like to let them know that we value their trade and respect their opinions.

When we first opened the doors 14 years ago we didn't realise just what a gap in the market there was and how busy we would become.

We have survived where others near us have failed and we have gone from strength to strength to retain and build on our success in recent trying times. We have borrowed previously and paid back long before the due date.
