Matthew Doyle

Non-Executive Director

Matthew has more than 25 years international experience in the finance industry, working in areas including mergers & acquisitions, corporate recovery, legal, asset management and banking. 

During his career, Matthew has held senior roles with Hermes Investment Management focusing on ESG and responsible investment; Latham & Watkins in law firm management; KPMG specialising in M&A and corporate recovery, all of which have allowed him to gain and develop a broad range of skills, experience and knowledge. 

Matthew’s portfolio of Chair and Non-Executive Director roles includes Money Matters Credit Union, Housing Pathways, Pegasus Care, Social Enterprise Mark and The Adolescent and Children’s Trust. He also advises pension schemes on stewardship and responsible investment in the UK and the USA. 

Matthew was awarded an MBA from École des hautes études commerciales de Paris (HEC Paris) in 2010 and has a wide variety interests including mountain climbing, sailing, flying and skiing.


Richard McGrail

Non-Executive Director

Richard offers over two decades of experience in regulated and dynamic financial markets, both in the UK and Europe. A qualified veteran of the boardroom he has led on areas such as sales, marketing, market entry and operational excellence.

He has a strong network of C-Suite executive contacts across the banking, wealth management, family office and pension segments. Richard brings with him a deep understanding of the adviser market place, regulated markets and a broader geographic outlook.

His current responsibilities include leading relationships in Switzerland for a European Asset Manager as well as a position as a Non-Executive Director on the THERA executive board.

Outside of work Richard has a passion for tackling social mobility, working alongside young aspiring professionals as a workplace mentor whilst chairing the Social Mobility Committee for AEGON Asset Management.


John Coffey

Board Advisor & Chair of Risk and Compliance Committee

John is presently a Non-Executive Director on the Supervisory Board of the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office and Chair of its Audit & Risk Assurance Committee. 

John has 40 years' experience in the Financial Services industry operating at Board level across Europe for 18 years.

He was formerly the Executive Director, Chief Risk Officer of FCE Bank plc (Ford Credit), a deposit taking bank with a £18.0bn balance sheet operating in 12 countries through a branch and subsidiary network, providing financial services for Ford Motor Company's customers and dealers.
