Skilled and Unshakeable: Our Ukrainian Developers

Soaring food prices and warnings of shortages have made UK headlines recently, as Ukraine is unable to export wheat, corn, and sunflower oil essential to the global food supply. However, another type of Ukrainian export hasn’t received the same level of attention.

Businesses around the world rely on the expertise of Ukrainian developers, software engineers and IT experts to keep their online systems functional.

Despite the war, many Ukrainian IT professionals continue to assist Ukraine in keeping its economy running, and equally continue to assist businesses across the globe, providing professional services that are second to none with their intelligence, creativity, and skill.

Ukrainian developers are a key part of our team

rebuildingsociety.com has been working with Ukrainian freelance developers since its inception and consequently knows first-hand just how skilled they are. That’s why we wanted to take a moment to celebrate their expertise and express our appreciation for their outstanding performance.

In this post, we’d like to thank Mykola and Viktor, two developers who have been working with us unremittingly throughout the conflict.

Mykola is our testing engineer, and his primary tasks concern the creation and maintenance of testing scripts.

Viktor is one of our senior developers and his work largely concerns front-end development.

Both Mykola and Viktor have been integral in creating the platform and are truly a fundamental part of our team.

Whilst they currently reside in areas outside of active conflict, Mykola being located in Lviv and Viktor in Zaporizhzhia, their lives have altered immensely in recent months with many of their friends and family suffering at the cost of this destructive war. They both wish for the conflict to be over as soon as possible.

rebuildingsociety.com is committed to supporting our remote team

Although Mykola and Viktor would like to remain in Ukraine, rebuildingsociety.com is committed to supporting them in any way we can. Should they ever wish to relocate from their home country, we would be committed to assisting such a relocation, even assisting with visa applications and accommodation if needed. In the meantime, however, we are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment and contributions to the team.

Mykola and Viktor are just two of a community of 200,000 developers in Ukraine and we know that their story is not singular.

To all those affected by the current conflict, rebuildingsociety.com stands with you.
